a guide to having the best time at Goodtime

  • Currently, we do not accept reservations— we understand it may be inconvenient or potentially stressful to come on a whim, but we really aim to be a neighborhood spot where anyone can show up. Understandably, we may have a waitlist on busier nights.

    We really do try our best to get everyone in and seated so we can provide you a goodtime.

  • We can only accept parties up to 6 guests. If you have a larger group or interested in hosting a private event shoot us an email at hello@goodtimebarsj.com

  • It’s true! We have a run club. Join us for a group run every Monday at 6pm. All paces are welcome, no one gets left behind.

    To join:

    1. Please review and sign our Running Etiquettes, Liability Waiver, and Media Release Waiver for all Goodtime Bar Run Club events.

    2. Follow us on Instagram for weekly updates, and join the Strava group.

  • We offer a variety non-alcoholic options including aperitifs and small production sparkling beverages.

  • If you’re dining with us and have any food allergies/dietary preferences, give us a heads up, and tell your server. We’ll do our best to accommodate!

  • There are four ParkSJ garages within a few blocks from Goodtime Bar that offer free 90 minute parking:

    Market Street & Santa Clara
    Third & Santa Clara (north of Santa Clara)
    Third & Santa Clara (south of Santa Clara)
    San Carlos & Second Street

    Please note that we don’t offer validation for these lots!

  • Yes! We’re a kid-friendly establishment. Sundays are generally friendliest for families with children.

  • What if it’s rainy and cold! No worries, we have outdoor heaters and umbrellas on our patio.

  • No, we don’t have any happy hour specials.

  • We do not allow outside wine or offer corkage.

    We strive to offer an interesting, thoughtfully curated, and approachable wine list. We believe in supporting small producers and friends from near and far who make thoughtful, conscientious wines. We’re confident we can find something you’ll enjoy drinking, so please ask our staff if you’re looking for anything in particular.
